What Is Neck Lift Recovery Like?
Following your neck lift, you can expect some bruising and swelling. A drainage tube may be placed to remove and collect excess fluid or blood, and you will be given specific instructions from Dr. Schultz on how to care for your surgical site and drains.
Your neck may feel some tightness, which will subside after a few months. Bruising and swelling should start to lessen by day four or five; however, you should expect some swelling for several weeks, if not longer. It is important to rest as much as possible following your surgery and avoid all strenuous activities for at least three to six weeks or until cleared by Dr. Schultz.
You should be able to return to your normal activities, including work, after one month.
